Who We Are

Here at NutriGrass Haylage we grow and produce top quality award winning forage for the equine industry, believed to be the largest producers in the Warwickshire area we take an enormous amount of care and pride in the product that we supply to our customers. Although predominantly Ryegrass we produce various types of different grasses to suit every horse, from children's ponies right up to top competition horses and racehorses we have something here to suit your needs. To date NutriGrass Haylage has helped to feed top event horses competing at Badmington and other 4 star events including the Olympics, world class showjumpers and racehorses who have ran in the Grand National and the Gold Cup.
In addition to our haylage products we make and supply hay and straw in large quadrant bales, as well as all of this we stock a wide range of equine bedding including large and small flake shavings, and European flax bedding

Our History

Garry Hickman is Warwickshire born and bred, having farmed all his life haylage production was a natural progression from his days as a cattle farmer, 25 years ago the idea of haylage was only just starting to become popular in the equine industry and as the business and his client base grew so did the need to produce larger quantities of haylage and expand into bedding sales. As new technology became available it was embraced and utilised, machinery was improved as well as the science behind the process. We can now provide what we believe to be an elite service, all of our grass seeds are carefully selected for their optimum growth and feeding potential, grass is only mown when it is at its best and at a time when we know the stems contain sugars, moisture readings are taken throughout the drying process to ensure the grass is baled at the right time, the bales are wrapped in the best quality plastic to ensure the integrity of the product and all grass is analysed by a laboratory to access its nutritional value. Running a range of vehicles and different products means that we can supply everything you need to either bed or forage feed your horse delivered direct to your yard.
